Palm Fruit Extract offers unique and powerful health benefits
Overview
Palm Fruit Extract is composed of at least five natural polyphenols, fibers, carbohydrates and protein. Its soluble fiber is a carrier of various bioactive components.
Research studies have shown that Palm Fruit Extract activates a wide range of antioxidant pathways and has the potential to improve wellness.
Research by MIT and the MPOB has shown that Palm Fruit Extract includes compounds that act as antioxidants to support immune system health.* Clinical research studies also show its potential to support better mood, endurance and performance, and overall mind/body wellness.

Mechanism of Action
Palm Fruit Extract supports healthy gene expression and improvements in oxidation reduction potential capacity.
Literature over the past 30 years has demonstrated the important role of oxidative stress in age related health conditions. The potent antioxidant properties of Palm Fruit Extract may support its role in preserving health. Pre-clinical research in animals has demonstrated the potent antioxidant properties of the PFBc complex (PFBc, also known as Palm Fruit Extract) which include the upregulation of specific phase II detoxifying enzymes, a decrease in levels of reactive oxygen species (ROS), and increases in the level of intracellular glutathione.*
In tissue culture studies, the PFBc complex has been shown to markedly reduce oxidative stress in the cells and increase intracellular glutathione levels. This results in a significant decrease of reactive oxygen species and the degree of oxidative damage to the cell. Microarray studies have also shown that the PFB complex causes a significant increase and upregulation of specific phase II detoxifying enzymes including glutathione reductase and heme oxygenase.
